Want to grow in your faith this summer? Have a little extra time to read? We have just the way for you to do both! We have some books that our staff believes you would benefit from as well. Each of these books will help you in your Christian walk and help you build up the body of Christ in the process.

The books are free of charge at a first come-first serve basis. Here’s the catch…You have to go through the book with someone else from the church, and you can expect Pastor Andrew to check in to encourage you and see what you’re learning. A little iron sharpening iron goes a long way to help us stay on track as our schedules get busy. We only have 2 or 3 of each book and are limiting the free books to people in our church, but if you want someone else to join your group, all the books are available on Amazon and other book distributors.

The Books

  • Side By Side: Walking with Others in Wisdom and Love by Ed Welch
This small book has short, practical chapters to help you in your Christian walk alongside others.
  • How People Change by Tim Lane & Paul Tripp
This book lays out the basis to how we grow and change as believers in Christ…change that is based in scripture and actually lasts!
  • Instruments in the Redeemers Hands: People in Need of Change Helping People in Need of Change by Paul Tripp
Do you think God is leading you to help others through counseling or discipleship in crisis? This book is one of the best biblical starting points outside of scripture itself to equip you to obey God’s commands to help others.
  • When People are Big & God is Small: Overcoming Peer Pressure, Codependency, and the Fear of Man by Ed Welch
This book does a great job of explaining these issues in a Christ –centered way that points us to true and lasting

If you’d like to take the challenge, contact Pastor Andrew on Sunday! If you have questions or want direction to other books, just ask!

These books were chosen because our staff and other leaders have read them, learned from them, and recommend them. We also believe that the direction given in these specific books is extremely valuable in the church’s mission. As always, if you have questions about other books you are reading or thinking about reading, feel free to talk to one of us. We love to help equip you in this way!

If this experiment goes well, we will look to continue it, expand it, and improve it in the future.
