David Johns, Senior Pastor
they have four kids: Katie, Samuel, Vladik, and Krissy. David served in the Navy as a nuclear submarine officer and is currently a major in the Army National Guard where he serves as a chaplain. In his free time he enjoys his Friday Fundays with his wife, staying in shape, eating at his favorite dives with his family (or staff, sometimes), drinking his Starbucks coffee, and rooting for the Reds, Cowboys, and Red Wings. David’s passion for the church and the family comes through clearly in his preaching, teaching, and counseling ministries. He leads and lives the VISION of the church; TRUTH, RELEVANCE, TRANSFORMATION.

“I’ve always enjoyed working with the littles. In high school I worked at a daycare after school & in college I worked as a nanny serving 2 special families. In my spare time I volunteer at Adalyn’s school & run both kids to their various activities. I enjoy reading & the summer months where I can be outside swimming, hiking, etc., with my husband, kiddos & our crazy dog. Nothing is better than watching the youngest church goers learn about and understand Gods love for them.”
Working together in Children’s Ministry with Meredith, Jessica oversees our birth through Pre-K students at WBC.
